Christmas in Utah

We headed to Utah for Christmas this year! We took 2 days to drive there, and Dani and Jefferson were kind enough to let us crash at their house in Boise on the way there and back. Here is a recap of a few of the things we did (sorry, this might turn out to be a long post).....

*After Church on the Sunday before Christmas my family all met at Temple Square to see the lights. We haven't done that in years so it was really COLD and fun. But....of course we forgot our camera!

*Grayson and Calvin were so excited when it snowed (since it doesn't snow much in Salem)...Daddy even helped them build the world's "smallest" snowman...(the snow was really dry and not packing very well:)

*Another hightlight was that Ben and I were able to go on a date with my sisters and their husbands. We actually got to go to dinner AND a movie! THANKS to my mom and dad for watching ALL of our 10 kids! Luckily, there are some older kids now so they help out with the little ones!

*Christmas Eve was full of activities! We started out meeting all of my family at Denny's for breakfast. Amazingly, all of the kids were on their best behavior. After breakfast, we headed bowling. The kids loved it!

*After bowling, we all met at my mom and dad's for a little lunch/dinner. It was really fun to have everybody there.

Here are the boys in their new Christmas PJ's from Grandma Sandy. All the grandkids have matching ones (which you will see later in the post).
The boys hanging their stockings for Santa....
*It was just my Mom and Dad, and our little family opening presents Christmas morning. Grayson LOVED it....but Cal was a little onery so Gray had to help him open some of his presents. Their favorite (and most fought over) toy was this little train. They also got many other fun things from Santa, Grandma Z and Grandpa Paul, and my parents.

Both boys also got a new scooter.....now we just need some warm weather!

*The day after Christmas was our Allred Family Christmas Party, which was held at Spencer and Amber's house. We had a yummy homemade "Cafe Rio" style meal which we all loved and ate too much of! After dinner, the kids got to open another present from Grandma, plus do a little exchange between them. (It is starting to get a little hectic with all 22 grandkids:)

I think this is my favorite picture of them all. All the grandkids in their matching pajamas... (Except Cooper who was asleep, and Adam and Jaxon are not matching since they are getting "too old" for the matching pajamas:)
All my sister/sis in law's and their babies that are all about 3 months apart....

Love ya Ben!
Why am I the only sister left with blonde hair?

Overall.....we had a GREAT time in Utah. We are so blessed to have such great families!

The pics of the jammies is just adorable. And by the way, when did Ben get to be so handsome! Man oh man..............

Looks like you really had fun with your wonderful family. They are such good people and are about the only people I am happy to share those grandsons of mine with!

What a trip! It sounds like you were able to fit a lot into a short amount of time. How fun that your boys are getting old enough to play with all their cousins. And I'm impressed that you already have pictures downloaded and posted- way to go!
