Grayson is 5!

Happy Happy Birthday Grayson! I can't believe we have a 5 year old! Gray is so excited to be 5....he has been talking about his birthday for months, and it finally came today! Well.....it actually started yesterday. Ben had to go out of town today, so we had Gray's party last night. We had LOTS of friends! He decided he wanted a "snake" party (he is really into snakes and bugs lately), so of course we had to make a snake cake. He picked out which one he wanted (thanks to google images:) and chose which colors and everything. We made bug/spider cupcakes too.

He almost couldn't wait until the "Happy Birthday" song was over, he was so excited to blow out his candles!

We are so grateful for such great friends! Thanks everyone for coming to his party......it was so much fun!

Gray was so excited for his birthday that he went to bed without a peep, he even just slept in his clothes (which are ALWAYS basketball shorts and a t-shirt lately). I told him he had to sleep until at least 7:00 (he has always been an early riser so we put a clock in his room and told him he needs to stay in there until the first number says 7.....it works sometimes) But.....this morning he came into our room at 6:45 saying he just couldn't wait any longer! So, we opened a couple presents.....


Then Hudson and Calvin woke up so we let him open the rest.....

Huddy is saying....."Here is one from me!"

(it's a really out of control fast remote control car that has wheel that turn into these claw things...he thinks it is pretty awesome!)

The rest of the day we just spent hanging out. We went to playgroup and had cookies to celebrate. Later, we went to Target to let him pick out a present with some of his birthday money. Then, we met a couple friends at Taco Bell (their husbands were out of town too:) and then they came over and had more cake and played outside until about 9pm.
I think he had a pretty fun day....even though he missed his dad!
