3 week Vacation!

I know I have been the biggest blog slacker, but I am trying to get caught up! (well....at least with 1 post:)

We headed to Boise to Dani and Jefferson's at the beginning of April to see this little sweetheart get blessed:

Lots of family was able to be there....

We spend a couple days there (and we got to stay in a hotel which the boys LOVED:) We were able to go to dinner with all the couples without kids! It is always nice to have real conversations without any kiddos around.

From Boise, we headed to Utah. We were there for 2 1/2 weeks!!! (Ben actually flew back home for 10 days to work, so he missed out on a lot of the fun). We somehow managed to stay busy the whole time. Here are some pictures of some things we did:

We were lucky to be there for my family's spring break. My parents rented a huge slide and bounce house for all the grand-kids. To say they were in Heaven is an understatement. They were out there from 9am until about 7pm....only stopping to eat. It rained off and on, but that didn't really put a damper on things for the older kids!

One weekend we went and stayed at my brothers house in Mona to help watch his 8 kids over night. We took some of my sisters kids too and it was a wild night!!! My mom and I had 14 kids all together...

For the most part we just stayed busy playing with lots of cousins.

And of course the boys had to help Grandpa mow the lawn. They actually got to spend lots of time with Grandpa. He took them to the dump in his big truck to get mulch for the garden, he let them make some necklaces (my dad's new hobby:), and their favorite thing was that Grandpa let them have lots and lots of his special rocks and crystals. They both now have a pretty awesome rock collection!

Ben's brother graduated from BYU when we were there, and we got to go to dinner with Ben's parents and some of his siblings. We spent some time with Ben's sister and brother and their families as well, but we don't have any pictures.

We also went to dinner with all of my siblings (without kids again:). I think that was the first time we had ever done that with everyone. It was fun!

Easter weekend came around so the festivities began! (and Ben was back so we actually have someone taking pictures again:).....

In our family, it is tradition for the Easter Bunny to hide our Easter Baskets. Growing up, we use to spend hours and hours looking for our baskets....and when you live in the middle of nowhere, there are lots of good hiding spots! We would eventually find them in a field buried under the ground, or in a black garbage bag in a tractor, or some random spot! Since our kids are small the Easter Bunny decided to hide the baskets a little easier this year...

We took the kids to another Easter Egg Hunt at the Deseret Peak Complex.....a little crowded huh???

It lasted about 15 seconds....not joking!

Then we came back and had a little Egg hunt outside at my parents:

Then we headed down to my brother Spencer's house for another Easter Party...again, not very many pictures!

After another family party at my Grandma ad Grandpa's house on Sunday night, the festivities were over! It was really fun to be there for Easter and to spend it with our family.


We had such a great time and it was so sad to say goodbye. Our trips are getting fewer and more far between and I really don't like that!

Luckily, after we left Utah, our family time wasn't quite over! We got to stop in Boise one more time on the way home and see the Harmon family again.

The kids got to open their Easter gifts from Gramzee and Grandpa Paul, which were these awesome books!

Then it was time to head home for reals! The kids were troopers and the drive was great (Hudson has the worst time, but even he did pretty well).

After being gone for 20 days, it felt pretty good to be home! Grayson and Calvin were so excited to see everything. They kept saying things like: "Our table is still here.....Our TV is still here....Our toys are still here" Like someone was going to take them while we were gone or something. It was pretty funny!

And just one more picture.....just because it's cute! The boys all bathe together now (and believe me.... it is a wild time:) and we actually got a picture of them looking at the camera!
